Ken Tipton, born in El Paso, Texas, embarked on a diverse journey spanning entrepreneurship, military service, and filmmaking. Raised in Missouri, Tipton demonstrated an early knack for business, engaging in various ventures to contribute to his family's income.
At the age of 4, Ken's entrepreneurial journey began in Columbia, MO, where his step-father attended the University of Missouri. Sporting a homemade Tiger costume, Ken entertained Mizzou Tigers football fans, collecting coins to supplement the family's income. As Ken grew older, his entrepreneurial spirit flourished. He sold products door-to-door, took on odd jobs, and even founded an aerial advertising company called HIGH SIGNS while still employed at IBM. Later, he ventured into the home video rental industry, establishing Video Library, the first VHS-only rental store in the United States.

His principled stance against censorship led to personal hardships but also fueled his passion for filmmaking. Eventually, he relocated to Hollywood, immersing himself in the film industry and learning the craft.
Ken's determination paid off when he directed "Heart of the Beholder," a film based on his family's battle against censorship.
